Meet Pastor Evangeline
What a joy to greet you all as the Pastor of Gethsemane Lutheran Church and Saint Peter’s Lutheran Church, Corydon , IN. I bring with me, my years of faith and living experience as one born and raised in Bangalore, India. I have spent about thirty five years of my life in Theological seminaries and colleges in India and in the USA, engaged in theological education and ministerial formation. I taught in four seminaries namely the United Theological College, Bangalore, Serampore University College, in India, and as visiting professor at Columbia Theological Seminary, Decatur GA, and the Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary, Columbia, SC.
I come from a large family of theologians and pastors. Counting my grandfather, father, my seven siblings and their spouses, we are altogether 17 theologically trained and engaged in different forms of ministry including Pastoral ministry and Theological Education. This is not to boast of what we have become. Rather it is to point out to the utter Grace of God who sustained us in faith, despite realities of hardship and crisis at different moments in life. It is God’s grace that transformed these critical moments of hardship into distinct turning points in life, to be living witnesses to the loving and living God.
I believe that it is God’s calling to serve the two point Lutheran parish in Corydon, IN. I enjoy sharing this faith and contributing to the living faith and witness of Corydon community. My husband, Rev Samuel Rajkumar and my daughter Davina join me in greeting everyone in Gethsemane and Saint Peter’s Lutheran Church.
Love you all,
Pastor Evangeline Anderson-Rajkumar
